Long ago in a time forgotten there was a war which tore this country
apart...
In the following era of rebuilding Ichi Fuji Inn was born...
It was more than 50 years ago...
A time in which I wasn't even born...
"Grandpa, I never understood before, but I understand now,
...you've left a great thing here."
It was left in an old damaged shed hanging on a wall.
It was a wall painting on Mt. Fuji; made by old tiles which aren't
made anymore..
It occured to me in a moment of pure clarity that our Inn should
carry the name of Ichi Fuji.
To dispel any curiosity, this wall painting is the origin.
This is an authentic wall painting made in the old style, by workmen
in the late 1940's.
It remains as a living history of the Showa period.
So we can all remember, and imagine. Japan. In the good old days.
